Circle Series 1 Lithograph Unique Print
Currently, my main practice is drawing, encompassing printmaking, both lithography and mono printing.
In the past I have worked 3-dimensionally with clay, steel and mixed materiels.
I draw from life and also in abstract. The act of drawing, of putting marks onto paper or any surface is always a journey. Drawing can sometimes be a struggle, and at other times a joyful flow. If I trust the drawing process it can take me, creatively, somewhere that I didn’t expect.
I love the mechanical element of printmaking that can produce fascinating results as well as go astray so easily! Things can happen that I didn’t plan . . . happy accidents can sometimes express more than a planned outcome.
I enjoy working creatively with both children and adults. This is as important to me as my solitary work.
I have completed an MA in Community Arts, a BA in Sculpture and a Diploma in Art and Play in Therapeutic Work With Children.
July 2020 I am undertaking a paws-b training to teach mindful relaxation techniques to 7 – 11 year-olds in schools and will be qualified in July 2020
August 2020 Teaching monoprinting Hawkwood College TBC.
May 2021 Two week residency at Cill Rillaig Arts Centre on the West Coast of Ireland.

A movement to support artists and makers during Covid-19. Artists post pictures of their works for sale for no more than £200 . . . Everytime an artist makes £1000 in sales they commit to 20% on purchasing the work of another artist using the hashtag. It is a worthwhile system based on trust.
