Exploring Monoprinting Workshop at Stroud Trinity Rooms

  • Stroud Trinity Rooms Field Road, Stroud, GL52HZ United Kingdom (map)

In this workshop, participants will be exploring and playing with monoprinting, a wonderful and expressive process. This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with more experience.

I will introduce the process of monoprinting by showing examples of my work and that of other artists. We will look at the use of shapes, tones and colour.

I will then demonstrate a few simple monoprinting techniques, using themes from nature as my focus. Participants will then get to experiment with these techniques, with my help.

By the end of the day, the participants will have a range of skills and a basic knowledge of monoprinting that they can then practice at home. They will also have enjoyed a day of creative self expression, away from their every day life!

I will supply all the materiels, including good quaity printing paper and inks. Tea, coffee and biscuits will also be provided.

No printing press is needed.

The Trinity Rooms are a vibrant community hub for creative activities, housed in a lovely and spacious old building within five minutes’ walk from the centre of Stroud where there are many cafes.

Please either bring lunch or get it in town. There is also a Waitrose within close walking distance.

Please bring messy clothes and a pad for notes and sketches.

Price: £60

Please contact me at art@catherinegraymills.co.uk to register your interest. I will then send you my bank details. To secure your place, please make payment no later than 1 April.
