I am running a one-day workshop in monoprinting on Sunday 19 March. This is a fun, versatile and playful way of printmaking without using a big print press.
We will be working in the lovely St Werbergs City Farm Community Space, in St Werbergs, Bristol, next to the delicious Farm Cafe.
It’s pretty messy, so bring old clothes! Also, bring along any simple ideas you have for drawings but this is not a necessity. Mainly, just bring yourself and an open mind.
I will take you through one or two methods within monoprinting, using natural forms as the main point of inspiration for drawing, but you can use your imagination and play with marks and colour as much as you like.
Beginners are very welcome.
The day is £70 and this will include good quality printing paper, inks and tea, coffee and biscuits.
I have been drawing for years and printing for almost as many years. I work at the Gloucestershire Print Coop and also teach printmaking there.
If you’re interested in attending this workshop, please email me at art@catherinegraymills.co.uk.
Refunds are available in the case of illness etc but if you need to change your mind, please give at least two weeks’ notice.
